‘America’s Got Talent’ resurrects ‘greatest rock act of all time’ for season 17 finale

America’s Got Talent The Season 17 finale took place on Tuesday, with some of the 11 contestants rising to the challenge – such as Australian pole dancer/multimedia storyteller Christy Sellers, described by judge Howie Mandel as “perfection”, and Lebanese dance troupe I called Mayas, whom Howie called “very good for women, women’s empowerment and your culture” and Heidi Klum called a “million-dollar act.” Others, however, were saddled with their previous high expectations, like the Dolly Parton-champion country music trio Chappell Hart, whose original song “American Pride” displayed their surprising vocal deficiencies and possibly ruined their chances.

But it looks like all those contestants can and can be overtaken by an augmented-reality gimmick competitor, Metaphysics. Two weeks ago, Simon Cowell exaggeratedly declared Metaphysics to be the greatest work of all time. AGT history. Of course, Simon is probably biased, because Metaphysics has always made Simon — or at least a creepy cyborg Simon — part of their shtick, redefining him as a world-class opera tenor. Later, a deepfake Howie and Terry Crews joined for an artificially intelligent quarterfinal performance of “Nesun Dorma,” and this week, Metaphysic kicked off Uncanny Valley femboat replicas of Heidi and Sofia Vergara by including fakes as backup singers. forwarded the judges’ side. Simon.

But Sophia and Heidi are not What an edge Metaphysic gave this week. There was actually another special “guest star” securing the Metaphysic Season 17 Championship. For their final number, Metaphysics made good on their promise to digitally revive “the greatest rock act ever” and they brought Elvis Presley back to life. Viva Las Vegas, indeed.

AGT Audiences have been divided on Metaphysics in the past, wondering whether it was really fair for them to compete against flesh-and-blood acts with “real talent.” But the judges were “blown away” and Metaphysic’s Elvis Routine Today shook everyone up. Heidi called Metaphysic “beyond good”, Sophia called them “wonderful”, and Simon said, “Let’s remember what this night is: it’s about winning, it’s about money, and from Also importantly, it’s about being in Vegas. It’s, in my opinion, probably the most incredible, original work I’ve ever done. You’re so creative. You’re going to have your own show in Vegas, its No question about it, at the Luxor Hotel. Prepare it.”

And many viewers agreed with Simon this time, with a fan John Clarke, Tweet, “Metaphysic should win #AGT. Think of money in Vegas bringing old acts back to concerts. Incredible work.” Brilliant in keeping with the current blockbuster success of London’s dazzling augmented reality ABBA Journey, Simon and John could be on to something here. This could Live entertainment has the future – or at least the future America’s Got TalentIf Metaphysic is crowned the million-dollar champion on Wednesday.

But can revived ARs dominate standouts like Elvis Christie Sellers or Mayas? Find out when the grand finale — featuring guest stars Darius Rucker, John Pardy, the Black Eyed Peas, and outspoken Elvis disciple Henry “The Fonz” Winkler — takes place on Wednesday.
